About the contents of Breakthrough Management
Today need for breakthrough often arises because of business
globalization. Our target readers are people in companies that are
trying to move into new business areas for whatever reason or that must
compete on a large geographic scale -- nationally or internationally.
The methods we describe apply to all types of activities -- product or
service, nonprofit or for-profit, charitable, religious, manufacturing,
health care, and so forth.
The first two chapters of the book introduce the importance of
breakthrough in today's rapidly changing, globalized world. The last
section of Chapter 2 introduces the remaining eight chapters, which
in turn discuss:
- principles of visionary leadership
- skills for seeing
and understanding opportunities for change
- models of business
The book includes many examples of companies around the world (Asia, Europe, North
that are struggling with and dealing with the effects of globalization.
