This is a
documentary about a man who partially inspired (and consulted on) the movie
“The Horse Whisper.” In real life he gives 4-day clinics 9 months a year on
how to train horses without the traditional horse “breaking” approach. The
film is somewhat superficial, not getting quite deep enough into Buck's life
(and telling us nothing of the adult life of his brother who suffered the same
childhood violence from their father that Buck did).
