The Diede genealogy work is now primarily being done by Margie Zimmerman Jackson, who is the great great granddaughter of Gottlieb Diede (1811-1901) [Gottlieb Diede, Margretha Diede, Christian Zimmerman, Victor Zimmerman, Margie Ann Zimmerman]. Margie lives with her husband in Montana.

The web site is being done by David Walden, great great grandson of Gottlieb Diede (1811-1901) [Gottlieb Diede, Christian Diede, Christian Diede, Velva Diede, David Walden]. Dave lives with his wife in Massachusetts (and his mother lives with them).

As can be deduced from the above information, Margie and David are third cousins.
